I had planned on writing every week (at least) but as per usual that hasn’t worked out so far! I’ve been super busy between Emme (who has figured out how to go backwards in her walker) and with the work from home venture I mentioned in my last post.
Mostly its going well, I like learning about all the different products and getting to try them all at my own pace. I’ve been using the propolis creme on Emmes cheeks as they are quite red and dry so it’s been moisturising them and making them look less sore, I’ve also been using the hand and face soap as a shampoo for her to help get rid of her cradle cap, it works so much better than other things I’ve tried. She also has a rash under her chin which looks super sore from her drooling, that’s only going to get worse as she starts teething so I think the propolis creme again would work or maybe the gelly. Maybe even the aloe lips would work? I’ll figure it out. She’s not in pain so that’s a good thing at least. It just looks scratchy.
I’ve also been going back to making my paper flowers again. Which is where the options title comes in, I’m not sure if I am going to continue doing it as a hobby or if I want to go all out serious and try to make money from them. I mean, they’re good, strong and sturdy while being pretty and delicate at the same time. Plus, there are some people out there that want to buy them. I’ve actually found people that don’t make me feel fake. That’s also a good thing.
What I’ve done about the flowers is I’ve rebranded my old Etsy page from Suzi’s Secret Stash to SuziBoo Creations and linked it to my SBC facebook page. I’ve also got 26 bunches of flowers to make for folk all around the world! Hopefully other people will see them and like them and want to buy some so y’know, things are happening. I’m keeping my options open.
My main problem at the moment is having the confidence to convince people that any of my wares are good to buy. But that’s on me. Confidence has never been a strong suit. Going back to the Forever stuff, I know what I’m talking about, when I don’t I can get answers quickly. I just haven’t got the right mindset for it at the moment. But I’m working on that and it will “bleed out” into my other things like the crafting and other things.
Maybe I’m trying to do too much at the one time, maybe I’m not. I just know I’ll get there, eventually.
Hi everyone, I’m sorry. I totally neglected this space for a good 11 months. You know how it is, find out you’re pregnant, scream it from the rooftops then go into immediate hibernation for almost forever.
Well, I’m back and raring to go. My beautiful baby girl was born on August 5th 2015 at 15.30, she weighed 7lbs and 11oz and was almost 2 full weeks late! Wee Bug was originally due on the 24th July. Worst 2 weeks ever. Tried almost everything to push the process along but I ended up going into hospital to be induced. That day was the first day I had been truly sick for the full pregnancy. Was horrible.
So she was born, and she was perfect and getting more and more perfect every day. Her name is Emme and she’s already almost 5 months old! Time is going way too fast. She’s almost mobile already, very vocal and already in love with her big cousin Alba (my sisters 15 month old baby).
Now that we’re on to the new year, I’ve changed a few things about my life, I’ve just become a member of the Forever Living family which I will go into more detail in a following post (only happened on NYE so everything is still new and scary).
I hope to try and post every week and even update my youtube with new videos as well. My first video will be about doing the C9 from Forever Living with day to day commentary. Will be a vlog type thing so I’m not exactly gonna be looking too great in some parts of it. But hey ho. I’m also planning on getting more recipes up on my Moogles Munchies page as well. Still getting a lot of views on that one, especially for the sweet potato crisps recipe which is by far my most popular post (aside from the interview with Acey Bongos of Xbox Live fame).
So yeah, that’s my plan, I’ve even sent a message to Asylum Attendant with the hope hat we can encourage each other to keep posting if we start slowing down with them.
Speak soon folk. x
This evening will see my delightful husband taking part in his first raid on Wow since….I’m not really sure when, before we met I think.
I’m happy for him, he’s doing something that he enjoys and talking to some friends that he doesn’t get to speak with very often but it does mean one thing…as of now I need to fend for myself on Mondays and Thursdays for dinner. The horror!
His guild leader is trying to talk me into coming back into Wow again as well, but I doubt it’ll happen as
A – if we’re both playing nothing would ever get done in the house
B – we would need to get another pc set up to be able to play
C – I royally burnt myself out of the game about 4 years ago trying to get myself from level 50ish up to 72. I managed that in a week. That’s like watching 4 seasons of Supernatural in 2 days. No-one should ever do that.
But yeah, I just thought I would ramble for a couple minutes about his foray back into Warcraft. Hopefully the guild doesn’t wipe out too often tonight 😉
Today I’d like to talk about my little facebook page and folksy store. About this time last year I was challenged by Callula to set up my own little business with the paper flowers and other small crafting that I had made for my wedding. The flowers are beautiful and I’m sure I’ve shared them before but if not, here’s a photo of my wedding bouquet which only took about 3 hours all in to make and even now they are still as gorgeous and as fresh as the day they were created.
I worked hard setting the facebook page up and making so many beautiful flowers. Currently there are solid colours, oriental, pirate map, comic book, novels, skandi/winter patchwork themes as well as some smaller brighter colours. I absolutely love making these flowers and find it highly therapeutic making them. I’ll eventually be trying to learn to make other origami flowers such as lilies and roses.
As well as the flowers, which can be made into centrepieces, brooches, grooms pins, or kissing balls, as well as basic bouquets or single flowers, I also make jewellery such as rings, earrings, key rings, phone charms, necklaces and hairbands. One of my favourite things that I’ve made has to be the “medusa” earrings that I made for my sisters Christmas a couple of years back. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of those at the moment as my laptop has gone to tech heaven.
Anyway, I’d absolutely love if those on facebook could give Suziboo Creations a like on facebook and further down the line maybe even visit my folksy shop once I start restocking it. If anyone would like to order anything from the facebook page, please just send me a PM and I’ll respond as soon as I can.
Well hello there readers! How is everyone doing? Are we all good? I’m good, I’m happy and I have exciting news to share with you!
At the time of writing this post, I’m in the process of moving back closer to my parents and preparing for a new arrival to our little household. Thats right folks, we’re gonna have a baby!
After 3 years of trying and also going down the route of fostering (and getting knocked back for that, can’t really explain my devastation about that) we finally received the news that we’re going to have a baby.
Baby Williams is due in July 2015, I can’t wait to meet them. We’ve got a couple of names chosen for them, but for the meantime we are calling it Pip, as they were the size of an apple pip when we found out.
I haven’t been able to make any videos for a while as I managed to break my webcam while trying to sort the sound out on it. I’ve been trying to think about where my vlog/rambling videos are going and I’m tempted to change the video theme to following the next few months of first time preganancy and looking after Pip once they’re born.
Let me know if you think this is a good idea or to stick with the gaming rambling.
Thanks guys 🙂
